Nana's House
I love it when God works in unexpected ways to give you the desires of your heart. I witnessed Him do this for Nana this week. It was a beautiful thing. After a year of living in a mobile home and working hard to give it her "Nana" touch, she bought a small cherry wood (fake) fireplace. It was all she could afford, but what she really dreamed of was a life size white mantle fireplace that she could decorate for Christmas. Nana loves white. She priced the mantles and decided she needed to be content with what she could afford.
God blessed her with exactly what she dreamed of. A friend's brother was getting rid of their white mantle fireplace and needed a good home for it. We couldn't think of a better home than Nana's house. She is thrilled. We are amazed at how God fit everything together to bless a godly woman who moved 1,500 miles away and gave up so many of her favorite things to live close to us. He is giving her new favorite things. Her journey of contentment has been an example to me. God is so faithful!

I noticed you recently had a job change. I couldn't think of someone better to take over the Women's Ministry at Grace after Charlene. How exciting for you to use your talents and gifts to love the women around you (not that you weren't doing this before, I am an example of that) in a formal way. I am so excited for you and wish I could be there to be a part of all that's going on. Please if you have time...keep me up dated on what you have going on, I would love to try and plan one of our trips down around a special event.
We miss you lots, say Hi to the family for us...
Love, Sarah for the Ridings Family
Tell Nana that I think her room was beautiful! I'd love to sit in that chair next to the tree, listen to Bing sing White Christmas, and read for at least an hour!
